Who We Are

What began as a dive centre with a love for the ocean has grown into a movement to protect it. Scuba Junkie SEAS is where adventure meets purpose working together for the ocean’s future.

Our Ocean Missions

Turtles

To protect endangered sea turtles, we run a hatchery for safe nesting and hatchling release, a rehabilitation centre for injured turtles, and a turtle ID project that supports research helping ensure these ancient mariners continue to grace our oceans.

Corals

Coral reefs are the foundation of marine life, so we strengthen their resilience by maintaining coral nurseries and artificial reefs, and conducting coral monitoring to guide conservation and restoration efforts.

Marine Debris

We keep our island and ocean clean through regular beach and reef cleans removing harmful waste and raising awareness to protect both marine life and the community that depends on a healthy ocean.

Outreach

Through outreach with local schools, the Mabul Eco Youth, and Scuba Junkie guests, we build appreciation for marine ecosystems the first step toward protection and inspire knowledge, pride, and collective action to care for our ocean.

Sharks

As the founding conservation initiative of Scuba Junkie SEAS, we aim to protect sharks through maintaining a sightings database, research, public awareness, and promoting sustainable tourism practices that do not harm shark populations.

Eco-Resort

Scuba Junkie is committed to sustainable tourism by using eco- friendly practices in running its resort such as solar power, recycling, repurposing rainwater, going seafood free and supporting local conservation efforts.
